Vidovich received a year-end gift of a set of new golf clubs from a client who was delighted by the performance of her portfolio, managed by Vidovich. Vidovich may do all of the following EXCEPT: A. Accept the gift and donate it to charity. B. Decline the gift. C. Accept the gift, keeping the matter confidential. D. Accept the gift and disclose its receipt to his employer. i thought D, but it was incorrect
C. Accept the gift, keeping the matter confidential. (except)
I’m leaning towards C. If he accepts the gift he must disclose it to his employer, keeping the matter confidential would be a violation i believe. But A is tricky b/c although he’s not actually retaining the gift, he is accepting it. I still would probably go w/ C but the more I look @ these ethics questions the more I use my emotions to answer them which is really causing me problems.
c as well.
thanks all… i dint read EXCEPT!!
