Anyone know what is in Standards of Practice Handbook that is not in the Ethics readings in the CFAI text? I don’t want to read both since they’re each upwards of 200 pages, but figure I should read one or the other. Since I already had to purchase the CFAI texts against my will I was going to read them for ethics, but have heard that the handbook is very worthwhile. Also, is the ethics section pretty much the same as level 1?
Yes, except for a few additions (soft dollars and prudent man)
- Trade allocation + Changing Objectives + Research objectivity But all are essentially just the same as L1 at more depth - focus is on application. Also need to have deeper understand of “Required” versus “Recommended” action across all standards
