Ethics: Required vs. Recommended

So if a Q asks if someone violates the Standard, does this refer to both required and recommended or just the required standards? Some questions seem to put the required and recommended as answer choices and you have to choose which of the following is a violation (so obviously it’s just the required one). Yet I rememeber seeing questions where they refer to both as requirements and I recall reading in Ethics that candidates are strongly advised to follow both required an recommended.

Good question, I’ve noticed that more often than not the company has to comply with the recommended as well in order to avoid violation of the standard. Hope someone can confirm this though.

except there are plenty of questions on the mock and samples where an answer is wrong becuz its recommended compliance, not required

i’d think violation of required is violation, what’s the point of saying it’s recommended if it would violation also?
