Does anyone have portable multi tools that you carry around? I’m thinking of getting this one, since you never know when 17 different kinds of knives might be useful in every day activities.
I only have one daily carry:
I keep jumper cables, a floor jack, tire iron, roll of duct tape, flashlight, multimeter, a fixed blade knife, and a 1911 in my car.
Do you also wear a trench coat and go around muttering “There can be only one”?
I have a Swiss Army knife pretty much identical to this one, but I’m not sure where it is. I found it pretty darn useful, although I didn’t actually carry it around with me. After 15 years or so, the little spring-like mechanism in the scissors broke, making them pretty much useless, and that’s when I lost track of it. I think the toothpick broke too.
I carry something similar to this in the seat bag of my mountain bike.
higgs with his practicality. Ive seen the EDC subreddit and these guys carry stuff like this and knives everywhere and think it makes them like badass or something. Its a little strange, and they take pictures of their setups and the other guys stroke off to it and offer suggestions its a really weird culture. Almost as horrible as vaping culture

Has Ohai ever discussed a trade? While he may trade (or originate ideas), pretty sure it is more in relation to his bank’s balance sheet/book than anything that would be of general interest.

Yeah, I find it interesting how people have “tactical” versions of all their accessories, like belts, wallets, pants, etc. So, if I ever get into a bar fight in the rural midwest, some guy is going to attack me with his wallet, I guess.
likely the same guys that love dressing up in military gear and “training” with their buddies in case something happens so they can protect their home. Like bro some russian or chinese soldier will wipe you out just as fast as they would me, love the guys who try to play gi joe
If I remember correctly, there was at least one instance of him posting about a trade. Details escape me but it SP500+something strategy I think
Basically everything I have suggested involved buying SPX in some form. So, I am afraid it has not been very interesting and has therefore been forgotten.
