Exam Tomorrow

Anyone else wish the exam was tomorrow?

I feel like I’m starting to study the wrong things (BF Micro vs Macro) and forgetting to focus on the bigger ticket items (IPS, Duration adjustments).

I’m more worried about having to go to the bathroom during the AM - in Chicago, L3 candidates had to go out of the room and down 50 yrds to get to a bathroom - wasted 5 minutes…

Dream AM topics:

Duration Adj., Corner Port, CPPI/B&H, Derivatives, Implentation Shortfall Calc., Immunization

Dreaded AM topics:

Expected Utility Theory (etc), Portfolio allocations, Liability Mimicking, Cov of two Mrkts, Econometric Forecasting, Swaps

I’m aiming to peak on Thursday

In the same boat buddy.

I did my first 2 exams in CLT, but am in Chicago this time.

McCormick seems like a horrible testing center: Cant take the L to get there, barren wasteland with no food around, and now the bathroom problem you mentioned!

After last year’s pre-exam breakfast experience, I’m sitting for the AM on a fasted stomach =) maybe small coffee shot.

Cries, I’m serious. Chicago is the worst. It’s a gigantic Hall and the bathroom will be over 100 yards from where you are sitting (out the door then toward the north end of the hall). I plan on wearing depends.

Please dear lord let there be a singer and terheer question on the am paper.

Thank god we only have 1 testing center in lebanon. The room is OKAY and the proctors are friendly / serious at the same time. I wouldn’t want to live the “above” experience especially if i need to answer nature’s call.

9700 people in the Excel center in London - you can feel the fear!

More importantly I am not quite sure how the DLR services is going to handle. It will be quite packed.

At excel centre generally there are events every day, but to this scale I would imagine.

I stay 4 stations away.

Good luck.

Can any suggest a suitable ear/noise plugs.

I have never tried one, but wish to.

Thank you

I work up in Leeds but luckily my firm pay for a hotel so I’ll be staying right next door!

I can’t believe there are so many NYC test locations, according to the link in todays email to the special instructions.

Here it’ll be a 15 minute drive from my house to the convention center, park next door, and done.

I am in LA and there was a small earthquake the other day, nothing serious…dont worry guys im fine  but what do you think would happen if god dropped at 7.0 earthquake and the epi center happens to be where I am doing the test. (touching wood that doesnt happen) what do you think would happen? would we evacuate?

Pm wise. i’m pretty golden. juss did my last mock 80%. AM wise, i’ve never graded, but i’ve read the answers. I will do last am 2011 mock tomorrow and grade it. Then redo the 2013 and grade it for thursday. On friday, boss gave me day off, so I have a whole day to cram. I’ll be all mocked out. so unless anyone has some good ideas. back to the mocks. BTW the schwesser mocks are unrealistic, judging from what i’ve seen from the cfai mocks.

Def wish this thing was tmrw and could just get it over with. But it’s not. So need to just stay focused, put in a solid 4 more days, and then be free. It will go quickly. Eye on the prize. Let’s go.

ps - ducked outta the javits ctr (have heard horror stories) and am taking it in jersey. Hotel across the street the night before. Worked well the first two times.
