Exemptions for CFA??

HI fellows i am a level 2 candidate, just curious and want to know after completing the CFA do we have any exemptions ANY where?

i think in canada (ontario only??), it exempts you from a ton of continuing education regulation type courses (which i think are not trivial and are not that cheap either), and this has become a huge area.

if you pass level 2, you don’t have to take the series 86 in the US (security analyst exam)

series 86 in US. LIFA’s first 2 levels.

I believe once you get your CFA Charter, you could pursue the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation without having to participate in the classroom requirements. I think (again, need to double check) that it becomes just a self-study, take the test when you’re ready type of thing.

This link may help. http://www.cfapubs.org/doi/pdf/10.2469/cfm.v19.n4.4 With a pass at any level it takes care of my Continuing Education firm element as well as CFP continuing education.

I believe you’re exempt from taking the first two (of four) levels of the PRM (the cousin of the FRM).
