Experience towards the charter

So I’ve found out the hard way, from months of searching, that the finance sector is on a complete hiring freeze (at least for recent grads). I was just wonder: There’s no way being a mortgage broker for a couple years would count towards ‘experience’?

I’d say…no. If you want to rack up some time that will count, go to Ameriprise, Northwestern Mutual, Primerica, etc. and get hired as a financial advisor. You won’t make any money (hence why they’ll hire you) but it counts towards the charter.

Dude, you can count a lot of stuff towards the charter if you word it correctly, I’m sur eyoull be fine Reggie

Be creative with your wording and you should be able to get it through.

Thanks for all the input guys - I just hope the CFA Institute doesn’t monitor these threads.
