I failed level 2 band 9. I was so disappointed since I only scored ethics and fixed income < 50. On the other side I was eight months pregnant during the exam and I have a beautiful healthy baby girl now.

Congrats, Sherbeer. I was in almost exactly the same situation last year: band 9, found out when wife was 8 months pregnant. Except we had a son. For your encouragement, I’ll add that I’m now a Level 3 candidate.

just stating that you had a year to study a few hours here and there, more then enough time to handle a demanding personal/professional life and still be able to pass. Also although he didn’t state it explicitly, I think he might be using is baby as a excuse/justification why he failed. I might come off as a mean, but it makes me sick how many people fail when they has so much time to study!
Timo, I’ve been trying to think of a diplomatic way to call you an as*hole and I just can’t come up with one. Sherbeer is clearly a female. You may want to actually read a posters words before you go crawling around inside her head and proclaiming what you believe her actual motives to be. Sherbeer - congratulations! Congrats on the birth Sherbeer! My wife have birth to #2 on 5/5 before the L2 exam. I passed but with a “Band 11”-type score. I can’t imagine actually being pregnant and worrying about the exam. You’ll nail the next attempt. If you’re thinking of having any more kids, tell your mate to keep his distance between June and December the calendar year before the exam! That’s what we’re doing for L3 for 2011!

Timo… My dear girl, you had 3.5 hours between Sherbeer’s post and your 2nd response. And you still could no deduce that Sherbeer is a girl too. I thought “was eight months pregnant” would have given it away. This lack of analytical skills clearly states that you are not worthy to be a L2 candidate. You had 3.5 hours and still could not work it out. You could have read one word per minute and still had ample time to revise several times. You definitely don’t deserve to be a L2 candidate. Also I got the IT guys at work to locate you IP address and isolate your details. Baby you are in deep spit. As far as i am concern, conceiving a baby, carrying in your womb for 9 months and delivering the baby is by far the toughest job in the world. In comparison, CFA is like a walk in the park.
