La Famiglia Giorgio’s for some pasta and peroni followed by a trip to Bova’s sounds like a pretty good cheat meal to me.

While we are on the topic of north end, hands down the best place is Carmalinas. Renos - east boston - is the best italian food in boston.
I hit up Santarpio’s a few weeks ago. Def do not get to East Boston enough.
I’ll succumb to an old-fashioned double whopper with cheese every now and then. But is it a “cheat” food if you’re not on a diet or feel particularly guilty for eating it?

The townsman is pretty good
I make a chicken vinaigrette:
- Sauté chicken breasts in butter
- Bake the chicken until it’s done
- Sauté chopped shallots in the remaining butter
- Deglaze the dish with red wine vinegar
- Boil the vinegar down to about ½ to ⅓ its original volume, or until the whole house is filled with the aroma of red wine vinegar; open the windows only if your spouse isn’t off visiting her sister for the week
- Thicken the vinegar sauce with . . . you guessed it! . . . butter
- Serve over rice
