With the high cost of the MBA program, how did those who are in the program or done it, are/were able to finance it. I understand private loans from banks is a terrible idea, so that is out…and the federal loans are so minimum…so how r u guys making it happen?
Stafford loans
Federal Loans (in Canada) are an incredible way to finance grad school… The max. loan is much higher than it is for undergrad and you don’t pay any interest OR payments for the entire program length… Also, your first payment is only required 6 months after your program (although interest accumulates), so it’s a great way to get some of the funding at least. To top it off, most students receive a cash bursary at the end of the program…I received free CASH equivalent to 25% of the entire loan…you can’t go wrong there!!! Line of Credit through a bank should only be done if it is a worst case scenario…you have to make payments and you are charged interest throughout the entire program… I hope this helps.

company reinbursement!

Unless mom & dad are willing to sign on for a PLUS loan, you’re limited to Stafford loans which have a max. of $20k per year. That’s less than 1/2 of annual tuition at top 20 programs and you haven’t even touched housing, books, food, etc.
Just take the CFA…

I just signed up for Plus loans without parental approval.
