I graduate in December and I’m finding the sell-side to be extremely difficult to break into out of college (obviously). I’m from the Chicago-land area. Anyone have any advice on contacting buy-side firms or smaller hedge funds? The contact information for these entities is a lot harder to come by than the sell-side. Any help is appreciated.
I’d say buy-side is probably harder to get into. Sell side you can make a ton of money after you’ve already built a book of clients. But after just graduating? no way.
