Fixed Income Portfolio Analyst Interview

I have an interview coming up for a position as an analyst who helps manage fixed income portfolios. I have only ever worked as a credit analyst for C&I/CRE lending so I don’t much experience with fixed income products. What would be some good questions to ask during the interview? Also, what areas of fixed income products should I study up on the most before the interview? Thanks.

I mean you should just have some basic knowledge of fixed income metrics (net debt ratios, coverage ratios, etc) that are important and knowledge about convexity, OAS, etc about bonds as well as some questions about duration and yield curves. They would probably also ask about your view on interest rates and sectors of the current environment.

This is a free resource that could be a good place to start http://courses.corporatefinanceinstitute.com/courses/introduction-to-fixed-income

could generate some good questions out of that. otherwise not too sure. good luck!
