Table 1 and page 225 of the CFAI volume 5 exhtols the virtues of Securitization one of which is “Continues to be a very strong form of liquidity”: They evidently weren’t thinking that there would be a liquidity crisis then! Perhaps Northern Rock will be on the syllabus next year.
