Flashcards

Who makes the best flashcards and where can I get the best deal on them?

I make my own flashcards. It’s a bit time consuming but it’s a great way for me to memorize the concepts during the process of making them!

Or are you dong this for more, shall i say wordy, concepts as well? I was thinking about doing flash-cards for the formulas throughout quant in particular.

I am doing for equation/formula and concept. But I do avoid putting on wordy definitions or explanation on flashcards. Usually I absorb the concepts, and summarize them as bullet points on the flashcards. My flashcards usually have fewer than 5 lines, and each line is never a complete sentence. It is a bit time-consuming, but it works well for me since I don’t just copy down whatever in the notes or CFAI. I wrote them in my own wording as bullet points - whatever words that help me remember the concepts.

I just finished economics and I have over 200 flashcards for it alone. Is that normal? Am I making too many? I’m worried I’m taking too much time making them. Thoughts/opinions anyone?

if that is the way you learn the material while writing them down then there is no such thing as too much time

Elan has good flashcards as well.
