Formulas formulas formulas!

How many people here can actually say that they remember all the formulas? I don’t know about you, but when I’m doing questions or mock exams, I’m not getting questions wrong because I don’t understand the material - but simply because I can’t remember the formula for a calculation! I know the theory behind nearly all the questions, but often when it comes to calculating things I’ll get 1 tiny part of the formula wrong and it throws out my answer and I get it wrong. Is anybody else having this problem? I’ve been trying to memorize the formulas for about 3 weeks now but I can’t remember ALLL of them, can you? Any comments?

Well I can remember most of mine, sometimes under pressure, I may make a mistake, But I started learning them months before now, not 3 wks ago

the formulas are indeed hard to memorize because they have similar names or have similar components. i recommend: 1) flashcards: keep doing them non-stop. you’re bound to get it right or go insane. maybe both. 2) tweek the formula so that it’s easier for you to remember. like the derivatives formulas i had to rewrite all of them. but you have to be careful and keep consistent if you’re going to do that.
