FRM for IT professional

Hello All

this is my first post on this forum. Am looking for some recommendations and sincerest apologies if this looks dump.

Am an IT professional with 8 years experience working on IT applications development/maintainence … with in Banking and Financial Domain. I have good exposure to payment systems and ledgers

I wanted to persue FRM ( want to get in to purely finance world)

I know it is not just passing the exam. Can any one please comment if FRM is really recommended for IT guy?

Thank You

FRM will not help you break into finance.

For the past 7 years, IT has been a much hotter field than finance.

Stay in IT.

FRM is not actually about the finance. CFA is. FRM is only that part concerning risk management and that are mainly banks and financial intermediators. I am studying at UoL LSE external and only after second year od B&F I took CFA. Instead of FRM which is pretty much covered by my curriculum I’d ruther go for ERP.
