Hello everyone
I am still debating if I want to take the FRM 1 exam or not next year. I dont have any background in statistics/probability/calculus except for some courses taken long ago in college and I feel very intimidated. But at the same time I work in Credit Risk technology and want to really understand the concepts in depth so I can be more confident while talking to Senior Risk managers, Quant Analysts etc that I interact on a day to day basis at my job. I am particularly interested in Valuations and Risk Models & thoroughly understanding products. But every time I pick a book on the subject, I get discouraged by all the math.So I figured I would like to study it from the basics.
1.In that regard, whats the best approach between GARP study material, Schewser, Bioninc Turtle and Christian cooper. I am just worried I might end up spending money on it and feel I dont understand it given I dont have a strong math background.
2.Is there any way to get to buy GARP material and all other study material from other candidates who have already given the exam?
Please let me know, any advice is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!
