Situation - I am using my friend’s notes from 2013 Schweser to kick-off my Part 2 preparation for FRM. This is only until I receive my Bionic Turtle 2015 notes.
Question - Can anyone share a link which gives a comprehensive differentiation b/w 2015 and old curriculums? I just want to make sure I don’t waste time studying something that’s not going to be tested or study too little of something that is now tested in greater depth.
Thanks for your help in advance.
For the FRM, the curriculum turnover is too high to risk dealing with old materials. Check this link from Kaplan Schweser, showing that the turnover for Part 2 from 2013 to 2014 was 28%:

I remember seeing the 2012 to 2013 turnover rates; they were comparable. I would presume the turnover would be equally high from 2014 to 2015.
If you have materials which have now been turned over twice, say, north of 20%, I’d say that they are too outdated to waste your time with. Wait until your new materials come in then hit it hard.
Otherwise, you could go line by line comparing AIMs and just read those that are still in the 2015 curriculum (i.e., by getting a study guide from GARP and crossing out the ones that didn’t make it for 2015). I did that early on before my own materials came in when I was in your position, but that method is a real pain in the arse.
Solid advice - cheers mate!
PS: I did end up comparing AIMs and found that the key differences are in books 1 and 3. So I’ll pickup books 2 and 4 to familiarise myself with the material. Will study more thoroughly when 2015 notes arrive.
