Everyone here keeps talking about buying Schweser, BT, videos, study packs etc. Are these essential to pass the exam? I’m starting worry that my strategy of just reading straight from the official curriculum readings is not enough. Anyone else just using the textbook readings?
I thought it would be OK, and I am questioning my decision now. I have signed up for the November exam, and I have read through the GARP readings, but I don’t feel prepared (or close to it). I’m considering BT - mainly for the practice exams/questions. I just took the 2014 practic exam, and I felt unprepared. I was familiar with all of the concepts, but many of the questions require calculations - so you’ll need to memorize those. Moreover, if you are like me, having questions to test you ability is critical.
In short, I have no idea, but I’ll probably be joining the crowd who purchases a third party prep resource.
