From Now On, If I See Somebody Drop a Bag,

I’m going to freak out.

This irrational fear will last at least till the end of the week, maybe over the weekend. But yeah, right? I felt suspicious myself today because I wear a backpack when I go to the gym.

A time to plant, a time to reap, a time to kill, a time to heal… A time to dance, a time to mourn… A time of love, a time of hate… a time of war, a time of peace… etc.

You have much better odds of winning a lottery than dying in a bomb attack.

I sleep easy at night in Harlem. If some brown nigga came round Harlem carrying a bag, it would take less than 3 blocks before he got jacked and outed. The brothas would then handle the role of judge, jury, and executioner leading the terrorist to pray a police officer shows up somehow, which won’t happen.

^I’m actually more afraid of nerdy looking, upper class white kids than “brothas”.

I’ve been mindful of abandoned bags in public places for years now. I don’t actively look for them, but if I happen to be in the mall or train station and there is a bag that looks like it doesn’t belong to anyone I let security know. I’ve done this several times. In every instance, the bag belonged to someone who went to the bathroom, a store, etc. and a friend was watching it for them but was unusually far away.

I frequently leave my luggage at the gate in airports to go hit the bathroom or grab something from a news stand. I’m just waiting for the day when I inevitably come back and get tackled by members of a SWAT team. I also regularly change next to my car before and after kayak runs, and I know it’s only a matter of time before a park ranger spots me and I have to file on some sex offender list. What’s life without little gambles.

I’m not really worried about these attacks. I’m more worried about being apprehended for them, being a brown man who always has suspicious looks on his face.

These terrorist attack are rare, and if its iTerrorists, IMO chances are they would be going for high visibility, symbolic attacks rather than “tactical” attacks on random places the way insurgents would go for.

I’m too worried about someone stealing my bag to leave it unattended while I go to the can.

Well, we still don’t know if it’s foreign or domestic terrorism (looking increasingly domestic).

Foreign terrorism tends to go for highly visible, symbolic targets that have meaning around the world (World Trade Center, major international air carriers etc.). Domestic terror goes for wacky stuff like a Federal Building in Oklahoma.

The anthrax envelopes that showed up around the time of 9/11 were initially thought to be part of Al Qaida’s strategy, but turned out to be some disgruntled US researcher who thought he wasn’t being taken seriously enough.

Leaving your bag unattended at the airport is pretty crazy since they regularly make announcements telling you never to do that. You’re lucky you haven’t been picked up on it yet.

Also, what exactly are you doing in the car park that you could be put on a sex offenders list???

I have seen those photos, it’s possible, but I don’t think those bags look big enuf, could be wrong tho.

^ Also, the guy in blue didn’t even try to hide his face. If you’re not in a suicide mission and plan to get away with it, that would be a basic precaution measure in my opinion.

If it’s the NYPost photos, those are confirmed fake.

Agreed. I never leave my lugguage more than 2 feet away.
