Funds in Canada

What database would I use to compile a list of assetmanagers / hedge funds in Canada?

http://www.sedar.com/search/search_en.htm

Thanks Allegro, Do you know where to loo k for hedgefunds? Same site?

Yeah that site is your best bet, although its mostly for mutual funds and investment advisors. Hedge funds are hard to find. I use the fsa.gov for european uk firms, sometimes there is a hedge fund connected to them there. very rare though. The Sedar website sometimes you can find an investment advisor that has some hedge fund functions though, and you can see what they manage, but they might not talk about about the individual hedge fund strategies, etc. Check the prospectus.

Is there a way to download the data from SEDAR? I’m gonna make a kid input the data otherwise. Thank you for your help.

Sorry, all I can think of is individually researching for the info, then saving the pdf’s to your desktop and doing it the long way.

On SEDAR they have the investment fund, than a group fund manager name. Is the group fund manager the subadvsior when listed?
