FV uneven Cash Flow

Hi guys,

I’m trying to solve an example about FV of an uneven cash flow ( Schweser page 114) using HP c12 platinum but i could not find the way to do it by the calculator !! I had to do it manually which wasting of time„, I did the PV of an uneven cash flow with no problems. any one knows how to do the FV of an uneven cash flow ? I appreciate your help and advice

Regards

Rakan

Calculate the PV of the CFs and then compound the PV to the FV you want.

^yeah not sure if i’m misunderstanding your question, but can’t you do the PV(1+r)^n for the FV?

that is just one more step…and you can do it with your calculator! surprise

yeah i’ve posted the question on the General Discussion and a guy told me to do the same way as wyhuang did.

Claudiapyc, the question asking to find the FV of an uneven cash flow wich the calcu does not do it in one step, we have to find the PV or the uneven cash flow, then find the FV of this PV ! got it ?? , as wyhuang said. first time i did it manualy, man i wasted my time !,

guys wondering how long does it take you to finish ONE reading ??

the last question, do you do the challenge problems ? or it unnecessarily?

I would highly reccomend you entertain investing in the TI calculator. Schweser provides step by step keystrokes which will probably be very helpful. Between your enrollment, exam fee, and Schweser material…it’s a relatively small amount to invest. I came from the HP in college and wish I had used the TI from the start.
