GIPS - terminated portfolios

Sorry, I still cannot understand the real meaning of below standard.

Terminated portfolios must be included in the historical performance of the composite up to the last full measurement period that each portfolio was under management.

If portfolio was terminated on 30 April 2011, what does the standard imply for?

so its performance is included in the composite from its inception to its termination om April 30. it stays in the composite so there isnt survivorship bias in the composite -

In your case, you most likely remove the portfolio from the composite at the end of March. On P303 of V6, it says “all portfolios shall be deemed ‘non-discretionary’ on the date notice of termination is received …”

The key point is that this should be covered in the firm’s written policies.
