Does anyone hate GIPS as much as me? I guess I am going to have to do some serious memorization before i go into the exam room regarding this topic.
i hate it as much as you. just reading it now and was about to post the same thing. i plan on learning GIPS mainly from Schweser qbank (similar to how i learn ethics)… blah. back to carve out returns.

The three things I hate most (in order): 1. Reading GIPS 2. Long Island accents 3. Putting on a wet bathing suit Reading GIPS is like putting on a wet bathing suit in a room full of long islanders. I’m not sure if that means I hate it more than ws, but it has to be close.

Strangely I find this a better read than Emerging Market Finance (A research paper that does not belong in the readings) & Corp Governance (written in an English alike language but does not read like English).

The most interesting thing about GIPS is how rudimentary performance analysis wasn’t done on a regular basis until the early 60’s- scheisterlicious
