Dear Mr. [My Name], I am writing to ask your assistance with the CFA Institute global practice analysis project, which we are undertaking in cooperation with the CFA [Location] Society. The primary goal of the global practice analysis project is to assess and update the Global Body of Investment Knowledge (GBIK), which identifies knowledge, skills, and abilities that CFA charterholders need to perform successfully throughout their career. The GBIK contains the Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) which determines the subject matter contained in the CFA curriculum, and ultimately tested on CFA exams. A critical part of this study is to obtain the recommendations of regional expert panels throughout the world. I would like to invite you to the expert panel we are convening in [Location, Date & Time]. The panel will be comprised of CFA charterholders with a diverse mix of experience and responsibilities. The regional expert panel will discuss proposed topics for inclusion in the GBIK as well as evaluate relevant sections of the CBOK. Prior to the meeting we will ask participants to review sections of the recently published GBIK and determine if there are topics should be added to or deleted. We recognize that your time is valuable, so to maximize the impact of your participation we will hold a brief orientation webinar describing the specifics of the GBIK review process on [Date] from [Time]. Participants will receive the GBIK and a description of the review process prior to the webinar. The goal is to ensure that each participant is must be prepared to present their GBIK review analysis to the panel and actively contribute to discussions on [Date].
