I am conducting research on emerging markets and was wondering if someone knew of a resource to obtain historic data of international stock indices. I tried factiva but their info doesn’t span the period I am looking for. What they have goes back as far as 2 years. I would like something that has either daily or monthly prices for atleast the last 10 years. Please let me know of any potential sources.
Dude, if you want something free, just go to Yahoo! Finance and look up historical prices on there: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=^FTSE There’s the FTSE, not sure what you are looking for but it will give you historical prices which you could calculate returns from easily…
