Thinking about taking the GMAT at some point in the next couple of months Have done essentially no prep yet but beginning to gather info and since it appears as if any questions I can find online are at or below highschool math level… just interested in hearing some people’s opinions on how their quant GMAT grade compared to what they scored on SAT math
GMAT math is harder than SAT math. I thought SAT math was similar to the that of the GRE’s.
Maybe I haven’t done SAT math in a while but if I got 770 on sat math/800 math sat II would it be a reasonable conclusion that I can score in the high 700s on the gmat with not too much prep (1-2 months)

I got over 700 in SAT and SAT II math and a similar score on the GMAT. Biggest problem for me was lack of calculator on the GMAT. I’m not good at mental math and I wasted a lot of time having to write out simple calculations and then rechecking because I wasn’t confident in the answer.
I just ordered this book a couple of days ago: http://www.amazon.com/Secrets-Mental-Math-Mathemagicians-Calculation/dp/0307338401 I’ll let you know if it’s worth it.
700+ on GMAT assumes that u do well on verbal section

Well, I think the topics in SAT math are easier, but the actual SAT Math questions are trickier. They aren’t going to do things like try and trick you with counting conventions on the GMAT.
