going to costco again

what kind of shit do you guys like there? preferably food.

The closest Costco is 299 miles away.

I don’t go there.

More of a Walmart kind of guy?

Booze.

And stuff.

Toilet paper. I got 10 bathrooms I can shit all day

Used to have a Sam’s membership, but gave it up. Didn’t use it that much.

For those of you who don’t live in Texas, you will never get to experience the joy of HEB. It is about the only grocery store in the world that can beat Wal-Mart in quality while competing with it in price. (Higgs can vouch for it.)

I must admit that I do miss HEB. And the B stands for Butt, hee hee hee.

Costco isn’t convenient since I moved, but do go to Sam’s frequently. The ones near me aren’t allowed to sell booze, so a typical cart load is: milk, bananas, grapes, apples, pears, strawberries, blueberries, vitamin water, diet snapple, egg beaters, almonds, bread, edamame, chicken nuggets, cheerios, and cherry tomatoes. Other things we get there, but with less frequency: TP, tissues, paper towels, batteries, flowers (their bouquet prices are fantastic), and shampoo.

You’re the best at never doing shit

if you the shit, then i am swer-rich

Not a big fan of the Costco model for food shopping for oneself. Just because you want something doesn’t mean you have any use for a 30 pound bag of it. Not too big into the “nah it’s fine, you just won’t have to go shopping again for 6 months” school of thought.

Sidenote but Kirkland has the best cashews in the game.

Chocolate covered raisins, big salmons, Vizeo TVs, err… gasoline, $1 hot dogs, refrigerated pizza, other stuff…

What’s the deal with Kirkland anyway? They make everything, like nuts, tissues, dress shirts… Greenman, you will like Costco due to the Yummy Mummys.

not all of kirklands brands are great. i can attest their coconut juice kirkland version sucks (ziko is better). their toilet paper sucks. huggies is the shit.

also do you guys get the pies? like the strawberry/blueberry pies they got. or like the microwable shit htey have. or the pre prepped food lasagna, alfredo sauce. i need more info on those types.

i tried the smoked salmon. wasnt a fan. then again it was the kirkland version. FAQIN kirkland.

Macadamia nuts

I used to be able to name every nut that there was. And it used to drive my mother crazy, because she used to say, “Harlan Pepper, if you don’t stop naming nuts,” and the joke was that we lived in Pine Nut, and I think that’s what put it in my mind at that point. So she would hear me in the other room, and she’d just start yelling. I’d say, “Peanut. Hazelnut. Cashew nut. Macadamia nut.” That was the one that would send her into going crazy.

#BestInShow

diapers, diapers, wipes, wipes, TP, dishwasher tabs, soy sauce, bottled water, massive cheese block, 128 pack of granola bars, 90 pack of gummies, 4L container of soy sauce, awkward 5L $40 bottle of olive oil, several kilograms of cereal, taquitos.

I’m there once a week to buy gas, but what I buy inside I like the greek yogurt, both the plain Costco brand that I use for smoothies and the multi packs of Chobani or whatever else. Eggs or egg whites are a good deal, frozen fruit for smoothies.

^ I’m getting the impression that you like smoothies.

  • Garlic stuffed olives
  • Que Pasa tortilla chips
  • Maille Dijon mustard
  • Kirkland maple syrup
  • Chicken and cilantro pot stickers

We can’t get likker at our Costcos because gubmint. :broken_heart:

I do like smoothies, and I like my blender. I vary the mix day by day a bit along with the protein powder for flavor, but the staples are a bit of milk, KS greek yogurt, currently using the frozen fruit 3 berry blend from Costco, and then I’ll throw in a banana and spinach if I happen to have some around.

Good quick breakfast when I get home from the gym and drink while I’m getting ready or on my way to work. Sometimes if I’m feeling really lazy in the kitchen I’ll make one for dinner.
