I wouldnt be surprised if OP has a slice A flat swing doesn’t have to be a glancing blow. Many good players have had flat swings…Ben Hogan was one. If the swing is flat it would also be almost impossible to have a slice, as a slice (as traditional defined) has to start left of the target and cuts hard right. Usually a slice is the result of being to steep and coming “over the top”, which is the opposite of a flat swing. Hockey players usually have flatter swings, while baseball players are usually steeper.
Just make sure to always hit down on the ball - you’ll hit your irons much more consistently, nice flight pattern, backspin etc
Anyone in the Boston area want to play some golf? Now that I’m waiting on results I’ve got time on my hands!

So let me set the scene: you both had drinks, danced and got close, brought her to your place to show “photography” (good idea), and then didn’t f***. How much help do you need?

Anyway, if you’re really committed to improve in golf and have the $, I would take the lessons.

Fuck, I love golf. If I could golf every day forever, I would do it.

Other than that, I do not think there is any truth in this theory. I play tennis quite decent and happened to play Tennis with a former soccer pro one day. He was pretty good and when I heard that had just started to play tennis, I was baffled. What I am trying to say is: If you are good at ballgames, then it should be fairly easy for you to transfer your skills to another game. Of course, there is nothing for free, you still need to practice.
ehm…
I think it depends on how you learn. Whether it’s visual, or someone needs to tell you, or maybe someone needs to physically show you. My index is under 4 and I have never taken a lesson in my life…but I have watched countless hours of golf, watched a lot of ‘golfing with the pros’ on the Golf channel and hit a bunch of balls at the range. I’m a visual guy and watching pros hit and mimicking them is the best for me (I also played tennis in college so I’m guessing my hand-eye coordination is pretty good). The key for me is when I was able to draw and fade the ball when I wanted to; once that happened, my scores dropped dramatically.
^any quick tips on how to draw/fade?
