Hi all. I am sitting for the December exam. I currently work for a discount brokerage. At times were busy, and at other times we have a lot of time to surf the web. Are there any good websites that someone knows of that could help me learn financial modeling or any other skills that may help in the future. My goal is to get into portfolio managment and I thought there may be something out their that could help me learn during downtime at work. Thanks in advance.
What kind of modeling are you talking about? E.g. modeling of expected cashflows from an exotic derivative instrument (which wilmott.com might do)? E.g. financial modeling of a company (like an equity analyst might do)? Learn accounting basics and then start reading models. A good collection is at damodaran.com, “Spreadsheets” link.
