GOT: Episode 3 (SPOILERS)

At least I can rewatch episodes when this show used to be good. That ending was so bad I can’t even.

Shame!

lol never take the stupid imps advice.they should have just executed that lil shit

Haha it was about what I expected in terms of quality. If you just expect mini movies with lame plots each episode now, then you get what you expect.

Since Bran can see the future, can’t he just invent iPods or something and create a golden age?

So I binged all of series 8 this weekend having been able to avoid spoilers bar knowing that people weren’t loving it and I ended up really liking episodes 1-5. I was even on board with episode 6 and thought it was good how they introduced a bit of ambiguity right at the end before Jon killed Dany. I also liked the bit where Drogon spared Jon and obliterated the iron throne was brilliant.

Where it lost me was the messy scene afterwards where it all just seemed like a total fudge. Tyrion is a prisoner of Greyworm who has miraculously turned from unsullied to a murderous war criminal and within 2 sentences manages to sell the idea of Bran the king to the group of lords and ladies who have just teleported in. Jon not being King and ending up riding away above the wall was probably the right ending for him but was done badly. Arya probably has the most satisfying arc but it was tinged with the suspicion that it was to set up a spin off. Sansa is basically a young hot Nicola Sturgeon. The north is rightfully independent.

The only part of the whole series that got me in the feels was Tyrion’s last conversation with Jamie. I felt like Tyrion should have probably died to make the whole thing more powerful. Bran being king makes sense and could have worked had it been earned by clever writing and pacing. It just all felt very rushed and very different to show when it was based on the books.

I wonder how GRRM will finish the story. I reckon the night king will win. It’s an allegory for climate change.

Why did Drogon know he should destroy the throne? Dragon understands metaphor and symbols now? It’s like if you OD and your cat flushes all your unpaid credit card bills down the toilet.

Throne was not destroyed, it was turned into a ramp for the new king.

^hahahahaha.

His mom was stabbed to death. Drogon saw a whole bunch of swords and melted them so they wouldn’t stab anyone else’s mother. Good Drogon.

Wow, i couls barely get through the episode. This was the most horrendeus writing ever. Poor actors

its so stupid. coudlnt jon ust have said. ohh dude drogon took her. she said she was taking a vacay. or jon coulda just been an auntie fucker

Bran basically admits he knew how it was going to go down at the end. He engineered the whole tragedy by telling everybody Jon = Aegon full well knowing it would drive Dany mad Queen and then doesn’t do anything to prevent the massacre at King’s Landing. Definitely the right choice for King.
