If shares outstanding increase, does S increase or decrease? Both CFAI and Schweser word it weirdly.
More shares issued=increase in S (which you subtract)
Repurchases of shares=decrease in S (which you add)
think if it like a dividend…if they buy shares back, it is effectively like issuing dividends, so there should be some addition to the equation
