Hi All, I cleared Level1 this december and appearing for L2 in june. Till now I have gone through most of CFA books excluding Ethics, most of FSA and few more topics and now I have started revising all the topic which I have covered till now and learn them better. But the problem is that till now I have only given few sample test of Schweser Qbank ( only 6-7 Study sections out of 18) and also only 50-60 question from these 6-7 study sessions though there are much more questions in few Study session. But I did the questions given in CFA study books while I was reading the material. Since I didn’t do much and there is only 1 and half month left and in last few days I will cover important points plus Mock Exam so effectively I can say around 35 days left for all which I didn’t cover till now. So please tell me now what is best approach to do all so that I can get confidence and practice as many questions as I can and able to do well in exam. I don’t think I would be able to do all 4000 QBank questions so what I should do to cover main questions. Is 60-70 questions from each Study Session is sufficient or not? Should I practice only intermediate and hard level questions in Qbank and leave easy level assuming if I cover high level Easy would be covered itself. Please tell me in details that what is right way for these 35 days effectively I can say around 320-330 Hrs. What should I do and what I can leave ? Thanks in advance
i dont think anyone can tell you in detail what to do. Different study approaches work differently for different people. My plan is to hide under a pile of coats during the exam and hope it somehow all works out.
I agree with you that different approaches work differently but still people who have already passed L2 have better idea about the exam and can better guide to approach the exam. I just can’t leave everything on destiny I have to work hard only there is no other option for me so just asking what approach I am using and how much I am doing the practice is sufficient or not. I guess people who have passed out can surely tell me the way.
know every single EOC inside and out and you’ll pass…
Thanks CPAbeats… for motivating me EOC means end of chapter questions right?? one more thing how much I am doing Qbank question is that sufficient or do I need to practice more questions??
Summaries at the end of each chapter of the CFAI textbooks are okay. Pound on these and you are golden.
Expert ppl please give your advice. I am always benefited by your advices in level1 exam. Please give me the guidance regarding Qbank and how to practice problems and how much problems for each SS I should take in Qbank. Thanks
You guys suggest reading summaries AND doing questions for EOCs?
Do you think EOC questions are sufficient enough for practice as I see there are very few in numbers plus I generally find them much simpler than Qbank because Qbank questions are somewhat more tricky. So thats why I was asking don’t I need to do Qbank questions at all or if I do how much I should do. As per my calculation and time limits I think I can do 50 odd questions for each study sessions. That is good enough or not or I should do more than that? please clarify this point.
There are more than enough EOC in the CFA curriculum books, some of us have taken 4+ hours to get through a particular reading. If you find them simpler than qbank, you will be fine, this exam should be a breeze for you!
Take a mock exam, find your weak spots and review those. Rinse and repeat.
ok but still Mock exam is yet to come on CFA site so before that I was asking how to approach. I m reading from CFA books only and doing EOC questions as well. But about QBank I was confused so I asked.
My advice, more time studying and less time visiting and revisiting this site.
I visit this site very less dear just once in a week or less and only when I need to post some query and then check answer by other. Why no one still replying my query about QBank?
