As far as non-US business schools are concerned, Oxford is second to (arguably) LBS only if you want a career in finance post-MBA. This is based on faculty, industry realtionship, campus recruitment etc.
IMD caters to realtively older middle managers who want to end up in the industry, e.g Nestle, ABB, Novartis etc.

^This. I understand why many manufacturing jobs have gone offshore, but these “blue collar” workers should have some transferrable skills. Plus, we need parents to stop competing with each other that their kids must go to college and recognize that not everyone is intended to go to college. Being a plumber or carpenter may not be a very glamorous job, but you can still make a very nice living that you can be proud of.

Of course, in recent years, the UK has been adamant on destroying anything related to business and finance. So, I can’t say I’m optimistic about the labor market at the moment. In general, the UK’s main advantage is really brand prestige. People in places like India or the Middle East still feel proud to associate with the UK. So they do business in London, buy multi-million dollar condos in London, and spend 20x the amount that UK people pay to go to university at Oxford. If you say you went to school in the UK or you worked in the UK, people from these countries will automatically think highly of you. The UK needs to keep pushing their historical image, talk in high class accents, and promote the royal family like a reality show on TV. Evidently, people will pay money to become associated with this.
