Has it sunk in yet?

Still cant get over the anxiety I had over the last few days. I could not believe reading “PASS” yesterday for soem time.I must have reopened THE EMAIL 10 times at different times. And even now it still appears unreal…Cant believe that I dont need to see those books again (for atleast some time). And never have to go through this pressure again…What a relief…But the problem is it has not sunk in yet!!!

It feels good…I am making a huge bonfire of my notes, but keeping the texts.

Yesterday morning I got out of bed feeling very un-rested, as I had pretty much woke up every half hour through the night. I was quite uptight - more than I realized at the time… I knew it go either way for me. I too had to re-open the email multiple times throughout the day to verify that it did indeed say “PASS”. This time the refief is much more palapable then at the other levels. It really is different feeling that this entire challenge has been overcome. I guess at the other levels, half of me was happy to pass and the other half was thinking ahead to prepping for the next level.

I doublechecked the result @ CFAI.org. Still a Pass. Now i can relax.

I had a case of OCD - checked the email 10 times, printed it twice (left a copy with my parents!)…checked CFAI website and finally it sunk in… Now all I have to do is go through the marathon of getting my work experience approved, fingers crossed this doesn’t prove to be too much of a pain! K

Seriously dudes, passing this exam has made a real difference in my life! For instance, um… hmmm…

kakane, congrats on passing. i’m sure your work experience will be approved in short order and that you’ll have this process wrapped up very soon. i think this is bleeding from a different post from a few days ago, but i saw that you had an excel template for practice questions. i would really be interested to see how you set up this file, if you are comfortable to share. just wanted to get out in front of you to ask. not trying to harass you. hopper.fox at gmail.com whether you are willing to share or not, best of luck to you and congratulations on your hard work and accomplishment. Just type up concepts and edit the file as and when. The act of recalling the key concepts from memory helped solidify the material pre-exam day; I would advise anyone to do so. IMO the mere act of recalling concepts in MS Excel adds portability to the study routine, be it: * at work with some down time * the last few days pre-exam to just read through concepts concisely K

i cant tell u how good it feels for me. everytime i think about what just happened i feel epic.

I almost passed out from shock when I opened the email and saw “PASS”…i was so certain that I failed, and that makes it all the sweeter. After 3 years of study, months of anxiety, sleepless nights, 1000+hours in the library, and every emotion ranging from depression to rapture…it’s finally over. It’s been almost a week and I’m still on cloud nine.

It’s been almost a > week and I’m still on cloud nine. It’s been OVER a week and I’m still on cloud nine. Seriously been floating six inches above ground level ever since I found out I had passed. For everybody who will be bunkering down in 2011 - work your a$$ off and you will see what I mean. When it’s 12:30 am on a lonely Thursday night in early May and you don’t feel like doing another performance attribution question, just think about how wonderfully, beautifully good it will feel when you pass, and get back to the books for another hour at least. Do that every time you feel like quitting, slacking off or doing anything else.

I sent an email asking CFAI to send me an official letter to confirm I passed. They send me a pdf within 2 days with content as below. I am happy to receive that. Dear B_C, In response to your inquiry, this letter confirms that you have passed Level III of the CFA® Study and Examination Program. Passing the Level III exam demonstrates competency in asset valuation, application of tools and concepts of investment valuation, industry and company analysis, and the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. Successful candidates report they have devoted 250- 300 hours to study and preparation time to pass each of the three CFA exams. It doesnt seem real yet. I still get stressed working late because for 5 months i kept sying , i cant work late, i hav to go study, but now work is so much less stressful because there isnt this rush to go study. I thought I failed that the weekend before exam results were released i did a comparison of los’s from current and previous year. i still cant beleive i can take a vacation betwen Jan-May without feeling guilty, or enjoying new years without the stress of knowing 6 months of studying lay ahead, or for a first time not spending long weekend in may in library. That pass came on my screen and my heart was fluttering, i was stuttering and i still vividly remember the next few minutes after that such as who was around me and how i felt.

More than myself, people around me are still excited. my colleagues and friends have been constantly asking me when am I putting in my papers.

Talk to me when you pass dude. z3159712 Wrote: > > well 47% of you did pass… no need to get > excitied/

Actually now I am feeling bit gulity. It seems like I am “wasting” lot of time.Really happy that my MBA classes started this week. Is everyone feeling the same way? z3159712 Wrote: > > well 47% of you did pass… no need to get > excitied/ Not sure how to react to STUPIDITY like this…

+1, no need to respond! How good is it!!! Absolutely stoked still. I just can’t describe the relief of knowing it is all over. For me, it felt like I had never done enough study. Even a great 6 hour session, would make you feel like an extra couple of hours could be good, just to be sure. All the sacrifices, missed partys, weekends spent away from family and friends, late night study sessions. It’s all done now. I have so much respect for those that have completed the Program. I never want to stop learning, but happy to do it on my own time now!!! Congrats all!
