HELL WEEK

What’s on tap for those with a week off? EXAMS!!! Ethics Sauce Notes anything else? what do you guys have planned? Minimum 12 hrs a day… Red Bull

Red Bull doesnt work for me. FSA, Equities, Ethics and mock exams. Screw Book 6

Coffee and Coke. (Coca Cola). CFAI mocks, flashcards and my list of “need to review” areas. Review previously taken tests. Finally, get to ethics. I have not got to it yet and it has ruined my Schweser test scores. I will be ready one week from now.

Watch the 5 mini-videos on the Schweser website for Ethics…good overview and captures all nuances without the reading…

[RED BULL and XS Enery drink] + [Schweser Book-6 Exams]

CFAI exams + a little secrect sauce + ethics + some A valuation review…try to relax towards the end of the week.

In the next week I’m planning on: *Taking the 3rd exam on Sch. Volume 1 - and review answers *Retake the BSAS exam (I intentionally didn’t write on the copy that was given so I could do this without any notes/answers on it from the first time I took it) *Go through notecards daily (hopefully) *Do the CFAI mocks/samples (hopefully do this Saturday/Sunday) *Work end of chapter problems on SS I hadn’t done yet Has anyone done the end of SS “Self Tests” in Schweser? Are they any good?

Sponge: I have done most of them. They are as good as the q bank and Book 6 tests. More of the same. Which doesn’t hurt.

Cool, I’ll try to throw those on the list if there is time (maybe prioritize my weak areas first).

Have the whole week off and have a lot catch up (damn work travel). My plan is: Fri night, Sat, and Sun: CFAI end of reading questions for the ~25 most important/difficult readings (did all schweser’s reading questions awhile ago) Monday: hit ethics hard for 5 hours (really haven’t concentrated on this) and 3 30Q CFA mocks. Tues: 2 60q CFAI mocks (or sample exams, whatever they are called), AM half of last schweser test Wed: 5 questions in Qbank for each “problem” LOS (e.g. LOS 48k - have about 40 of these), 60 ethics qbank test, PM half of last schweser test Thursday: read everything (my own notes, sauce, flashcards, ethics) Friday: 8 am to 2pm flashcards, notes, sauce; 2pm and after, sit by the pool/relax, bed by 10pm (may need a unisom at 9pm! i barely slept for L1 i was so nervous) Everyday from here out excluding the day before exam (in addition to what’s above): One 30 min ethics video when i start to get tired/bored of something Flashcards Hand written notes read the 50+ post it notes of important facts/formulas on my wall (my gf thinks i’m insane) 1/2 of the sauce Seems like a lot but I’m good for 14+ hours a day for 6.5 days in a row (friday is a half day). I haven’t been doing well on the PEs so I need a huge effort this last week (~90 hours).

Everything…loading-up on Coca-Cola Zero. Last CFAI practice test on Sunday night, CFAI Mock Exam Monday. Final review of problems for Ethics, PM, Corp Fin, Derivatives, FI, Real Estate.

Look through CFAI curriculum, read Secret Sauce, do all Ethics question from CFAI book.

2 CFAI Mock exam 1 CFAI Sample exam Review 3 schweser exams Ethics full review plus IPS Once last review of Derivatives, Quants, RI Try to watch a couple of videos probably ethics and PM Friday and saturday, review notes and FC’s at least twice Sleep early "or try to " on Friday night Wake up early, review cheat sheet let the fight begin saturday afternoon, sleep for a few hours and then get hammered Sunday rest and Monday start studying for GMAT exam

LOL I have a deadline by June 30th, I haven’t even opened the books … they have been sitting on my desk for a couple of months now. I already got a conditional acceptance. Which school you going to?

I haven’t started applying yet but I would like to start taking classes in Jan 09 at GSB at university of Chicago.

best of luck my friend, I’m looking forward to it.

which school are you going to?

Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. They have a very interesting MBA program specialized in Global Asset & Wealth Management.
