Hello, I am a little confused. I am trying to do question 88311 in qbank (reading level quiz on swaps). Basically it says that at inititation of the swap the currency rate was .83 CAD per dollar. At the time of valuation it was .84 CAD per dollar. I calcucated everything else correctly however I have the exchange rates reversed. I did it a little differently- the way they do it in the videos. I multiplied everything out by the exchange rates first so I took it as initially it would be 830,000 CAD then once I got the payments and discounts I switched it back by using .84 however they did it the opposite. I am looking at the notes from the video I watched and they appear to do it the same way I am doing it. Either I am losing my mind or there is an error here. Has anyone else worked this problem? It is the in the reading level section on swaps. These swaps are driving me nuts. Every time I think I have it down something like this comes along…
