are we supposed to use the corporate finance HFI in the corporate finance section of the test and the equity one in the equity section? one HFI never has a value over 1, which is not true for the corp finance HFi. wtf is going on with this
The HHI (Herfindahl-Hirschman Index) is used to determine whether or not is it likely the DOJ will oppose a merger/acquisition based on market share. The other one is used to determine whether or not an industry is competitive (unfavorable) or acts more like an oligopoly (favorable).
I look at this as if they are the same. One has 1,000; 1,000 - 1,8000, above 1,8000. The other has 0.1; 0.1 - 0.18; above 0.18. These two are the same to me.
Damil4real, I think you have an extra zero. It should be 1,800 I believe.
^ right. Typo. 1,000; 1,000 - 1,800, above 1,800.
