Guys i am scoring quite high on the schweser practice exams (done 3am ones) but I dont do the same for the CFAI exams. I find the schweser ones are easier as compared to the CFAI past year exams (2010-2015)
anyone else going thorugh the same experience?
should i be concerned if i am not able to score too high on the past year mocks?
I’m not sure what “too high” means but do CFAI AMs!!! They are the actual tests that CFAI used and are therefore the most representative of what you can expect on exam day.
What sections are giving you the most trouble? I will say that Schweser has a slightly different way of looking at IPS questions so if that is it 100% focus on the CFAI material and maybe go back for some EOC. Personally I find Schweser much more confusing compared to CFAI.
Same here. Getting in the 65-70 range consistently on CFAI material, got a 49% on Schweser. I’ve taken CFAI before and after Schweser and those seem to be consistent. Hoping Schweser is just an outlier. Also Individual IPS is my strong suit, and I got ~33% on those for Schweser. You might be right that Schweser has a different way of looking at IPS.
I too found the CFA a little more challenging but this is what we’re going to be tested on so I’ll do my best to be prepared.
Reading the question accurately is very important.
One thing I noticed is that there could be a line hidden in a paragraph that could negate what is above it making one’s answer completely wrong.
