You can clearly see all the elders from the dems clearly play favorite, not to mention the media. Obama’s campaign definitely changed the way how nominate will do their fund raising in the future. This might be the most decesive blow to the Hillary’s campaign. But McClain can easy copy this for the general election and eliminate his alpha on this. ^^ The most important question now is that can he win the 3 big swing state. I am not sure about that.
pimp–you make a good point. My opinion of these candidates is shaped mostly by their policy positions. I don’t like that Obama’s candidacy is largely thematic, and he hasn’t been pushed on the policy proposals to a great extent. When he does, it seems like he is not decisive…or something. At the level of presidential candidates, I think they tend to be pretty bright. Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Obama, Gore…I think they are all very bright. I’m not impressed by W or McCain though.
Obama should get no credit for being “against the war”. He has always voted to fund it and his votes have been identical to Hillary’s. In 2004 when asked at the convention if he had a problem with Kerry’s vote for the authorization, he said “no, that if he had been in the Senate at the time, he really couldn’t say how he would have voted”. I actually think Hillary’s explanation that she voted to give executive discretion…not to vote for the war…is not a bad one. I hate the war and that we went in, but I place all the blame on the bush admin. This is their baby start to finish, in my opinion. Not looking to cause a big disagreement, but this is just my opinion.
