In my college dorm computer consultant training (you set up all the freshman computers and resolve issues on the school network), they tell all trainees that you WILL find porn on the computers. This is because apparently, female techs would find the porn, and then they are shocked and report it, only to be told that it’s normal. What if it has animals, someone would presumably ask? Yes, it’s normal.

When a man does make conversation with an unfamiliar woman, I think the issue is really more about having taste and class while doing it. For one, a passerby on the street is rarely around for long enough to make an introductory remark with taste and class at all, so the best policy is that one just shouldn’t do it. But there are plenty of other situations when a tasteful remark might well be appreciated.

Agree. To offer a different perspective [broading this to talking to strangers in public in general]… I’ve been in Seoul three years now and I don’t think anyone has ever said anything to me in public ever. Same for my wife, she doesn’t have to deal with that crap here, but in the USA it was a huge annoyance for her, with dozens of weirdos saying things at her while walking on the street. She couldn’t figure out what these fools were trying to accomplish with this pointless behavior?

It’s called street game and there’s a whole sub culture. You’d be surprised how well it works for some guys. I know of 1 in particular. He does streets, groceries, lineups at food courts. Of course, he’s good looking, tall, creative, and has a great sense of humor. Women give him the benefit of the doubt when he first approaches them. He doesn’t drop the ball and takes full advantage of that opportunity. A few people tried to convince him to put up videos of his approaches on YouTube but he declined (he works in Wealth Management and has wealthy doctors as clients).

This just seems like common sense to me. Homo sapiens are tribal and do not like being approached by strange members of other tribes, certainly not on the street. They feel threatened and their defence mechanisms go up, espeically women alone. Go to a “meeting of the various tribes” place, like a club.

True, but these guys never had a chance anyway. No ambition, no money, no class, no game, no sense of style, no looks. Most of these guys were eliminated from birth (looks, socio economic class, environment, maybe even race if the chick dates only certain ones). They were 2s and 3s.

Remember boys and girls, unlike men, women don’t hook up with people below their league. She was a 5.

^ The only married men I know that seem actually happy are men that married women that were better looking than them on the universal 1-10 scale and realized it was a good overall complement to them as a partner. This runs from my man whore friend who I have first hand knowledge of his cheating on his now fiance (as I was in the next room) to the more respectable married guy who makes a great wingman and that’s it.

The suicide rate in S Korea is almost 3X higher than in the US, so presumably the Koreans are even less happy.

I went to high school with some straight up FOB korean chicks. fugly as hell in their teenage years, fast forward 5 years after graduation and they’re genectically different. marginal gains to say the least.

South Koreans commit suicide in high numbers because they are terrorized by their parents and society to be successful, go to a good university, and get hired into a tier 1 company like Samsung. Most Asians are like this, but South Koreans probably take it the furthest.

The US arguably takes it too far to the other side; no matter how hard you fail, you are still special and you get a prize just for participating.
