welp, looks like im fucked. been taking it sorta easy so far, also new job, relocating etc. has me struggling for progress. about halfway done through the second half of book 1 in schweser LOL. haven’t touched ethics. none of the other books started. i get around 45 days off before the exam though which is a slight plus, but i honestly don’t know if that will be enough.
2 weeks is incredible man, I would say the average is 1 week max.
i’m running pretty well but my retention and ability to recall main topics is lacking. Im hoping the revision and test questions helps overcome this major problem. Those who are struggling, if it eases you whatsoever, i am the missing link and drag my knuckles when walking so consider yourself 1 up on this primate.
im “forced” to go to vegas in april for a week so it may be challenging working and devoting the study in such a city of vice (frankie four-fingers best describes my situation for those who are familiar with the movie snatch)
What’s everyones strategy upon completing the readings. BB and EOC seems to be the trend, how would you allocate your time towards each chapter’s questions on a daily basis?
Finished 1st pass on March 1 on CFAI materials w/ all EOCs. Now working on second pass (which consists of reading only what I highlighted on the first pass) and it’s going decent. Definitely having to relearn some stuff I read way back when I first started. Plan on having second pass done by mid April, then Mocks, studying weak points etc.
Test format aside, I do think L3 is going to be the hardest exam. It’s just not conceptual enough and there’s so much grey area in terms of constructing IPS, asset allocations etc. Not going to be easy but I do plan on passing in June, fingers crossed.
