How are you studying? (When, for how long, how?)

Hi all,

I have begun to study two weeks ago for level 1 (with 2 evening classes a week and schweser material).

I was wondering where people were at now, how they are studying and fit this into their daily life?

Even if you have already passed the level 1, you can also reply to this post as it will maybe help some of us to have an idea if we are going in the right direction or not at all.

People say “forget about your life”, I guess this is true especially when you begin 3 months before the exam like me but I was also wondering if some of you have some tricks to assimilate the Quants part easily?

Thanks a lot and good luck to you all!

I am currently in the same situation as you. (Minus the evening classes)

Nothing much can be done other than study, study and study and hopefully get it done by early/mid November.

For me, the best way to tackle the Quants part is to do tons of practice problems and learn from your mistakes.

I started 5 months ago, slowly but understanding the major areas, and with a break in August. Today I’ve made 250 hours and I’m about to begin with Fixed Income. Since I cannot study for longer than 14hs/week I estimate I’ll have done about 400h by 7th December.

Having started so recently, I cannot give you another advice apart from study and practice. Tons.

Good luck.

My best advice is to read all the topic headers ahead and just mentally know what to expect helps a lot.

just keep reading and see how it goes, there are no shortcuts but just focus on what you need to understand.

better to study hard than study lots.

best of luck!

You need to prepare yourself very quickly, Here you need to study hard and finish the whole syllabus by end of october at any how. And after that start practising mocks , here for exam purpose more question and more mocks will tke you to the safest zone.
