I want to use the HTML editor so that I can add some Greek letters and maths symbols. I can not find the option anywhere.
You can paste html but there is no editor.
What do you mean paste HTML?
For example, if I want to write 5 to the power of 2. In write “52” in an html editor else where, then I copy and paste the display (which shows 5^2), it just shows “52” on AF.
ask s2k (nicely) he knows how to do it
Hi S2000, how are you?
Americans are the best in the world, spreading peace and freedom everywhere around the world.
And God is the greatest and atheists can’t prove nuffin.
Could you please answer my enquire.
Thanks.
You can directly apply HTML codes to a comment section, you don’t need any third-party tools.
52 gives 52.
VoilĂ !
Yeah, it can be tricky! On many forums, the HTML or rich-text editor isn’t always visible by default.
Look for:
- A “Toggle HTML editor” button (often looks like
<>
or “Source”) - A “Use advanced editor” link
- A “Full editor” option below the text box
If you still don’t see it, check if the site uses a specific extension or plugin for Greek/math symbols — some platforms use built-in equation editors or require special tags like [math]...[/math]
.
S2000magician showed above how to use HTML
In addition to that, he’s also the expert at doing math here.
There’s something very like tex/latex here, and you put a dollar sign either side of the math.
e.g. e^{-x^{2}/2}, \log\frac{\sin x}{\tan x}, N(-d_{1})
Without the dollar signs either side, those were e^{-x^{2}/2}, \log\frac{\sin x}{\tan x}, N(-d_{1})
That can do Greek letters also, e.g. \alpha or \gamma with a dollar sign either side \alpha+\gamma
