Got above question as an opening speech during an interview in exact word.
I could only think of using Brinson models/Sortino ratio etc but he reply that that’s not performance attribution calculation?
Any idea how you guys will interpret and answer as I personally feel it is quite an opening question or the interviewer is simply looking for “Portfolio Return - Benchmark Return” as answer?
