I’d like to hide “certain” websites I visit from the GF. Right now I delete my browsing history every day. Is there a way the you can prevent websites from showing up in your browsing history?
there are some programs on the internet that allow you to delete particular site: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/iehv.html Disclosure I just googled this program, haven’t used it

ok, I’m a pro at this. If you are using Windows go to Control Panel, Internet Options. The in the middle of the menu there is a “delete” button, click it and click delete all, including offline content. This will wipe out your history, wont let sites show up in the address bar if you partially type it, all that jazz. There should be a website that provides tips like this to men to help in our daily survival with women…
Yeah but I want to keep the safe websites like CNN. If I erase everything it just looks suspicious.
erase it all, then go to the safe sites that you want to show up, even if it is for one second, then on to the next safe site. Or an easier way would be to have your own profile on the computer…with your own password, that way there is no need to worry.
I live my life suspicious, makes me feel like a crook just a step faster than the coppers…if she can’t prove it then there is no discussion, or as I say “yeah, its weird, sometimes the computer just erases everything, must be some setting or something…oh well how about if I take out the trash”…then its all good. For those other sites just make them favorites, or realize that having to retype a few in is not that big of deal after you just spent 2 hours typing in more “secret” websites…
If you use firefox, get an extension called “morning coffee”. it puts a button in your toolbar that will open a list of websites each in its own tab. Just put the list of “safe” sites into this. Then, after you delete the history like you are doing now, hit the button and close out. now your history will only contain your “safe” sites.

lol. Download an obscure browser like Opera, and install it somewhere unconventional. Use IE for normal, Opera for other. For the record, there are other reasons for this… like Engagement Ring shopping.
Perhaps he’s trying to hide us…analystforum! Might not be such a bad idea!

You can delete everything but porn sites…that stays on your computer forever.

I watch porn with my GF’s friends all the time. She gets a little nervous when I watch porn with her parents.
Download Apple’s Safari browser (they have a Windows version) and use the “Private Browsing” feature when you want to cover your tracks. Firefox does not have a native private browsing feature but it’s expected to be included in the next update.
it is probably too late… your company likely has a filter that searches for employees typing “delete internet history.”
my gf gets pissed, too. 
Delete all sites, all cookies, and all temporary internet files. If she asks, tell her you were trying to access one of your online accounts (bank, email, whatever…) and you were getting cached data. You cleared the cache so you could be sure you were getting the current data.
