How do you relax?

well giving the new info about gender, i’m sure hitting saks and NM can’t hurt. it seems from my minimal understanding of the opposite sex, there is no stress that a pair of manolos or jimmy choo’s can’t alleviate

Unforuntaly, reading CFAI curriculum usually puts me right to sleep i need alot of caffeine to conquer an 75-100 page session. But relaxing, i guess is a different matter. Yah, as some has mentioned a few(or a few more) evening drinks can do the drink. Doesnt always bode well for the morning after which is too bad. Intercourse works too, as long as it doesnt come with excess baggage which can just make your life more complicated. So yah, i guess someones suggestion of a hired professional would work. My ex girlfriend was a big fan of turning off the lights, lighting some candles and taking a hot bath. It took me a while to figure out this wasnt an invitation but other than that it seemed to work for her. good luck

I play the piano. And no that is not some sexual innuendo. Jazz standards like My Funny Valentine, Don’t Blame Me. Great tunes that make you feel like you are in a lounge, but without the watered down drinks and bad lighting.

Every time I get into an argument with my girlfriend, all of a sudden the world becomes perfect to her once I give her a pair of Jimmy Choo’s. …just kidding, if only I had that kind of money! (thankfully, I don’t have *that* kind of girlfriend either)

I like reading too in addition to getting naked with the g/f as it stimulates the mind. Willy

I have heard it refereed to as the best publication in the English language. I enjoy the wry wit and of course, the captions. Lexington is by far the best US political column that I am aware of. Bagheot, Charlamange and Buttonwood are also soild. I forgot Cigars earlier. I used to have one every night (well Cigarillos actually, I’m still poor) after stuyding deep into the CFA calendar in May. Sort of celebrtate my own personal victory.

I’ve been known to light up the old Davidoff, Estee estee or even a Cohiba Robusto. I really enjoy a nice smoke every so often. Willy

you guys are hysterical… heres what my weekend usually looks like: I have 2-3 hours free time on either fri or sat. so I order some food and turn on the TV to watch sports or I try to find a good movie. I invite some friends, but only people that are easy to talk to and that will listen to what i have to say and that you get along with, otherwise its just stress, all over again… trying to talk to people that don’t understand you once in a while I catch a social night at my b school, and thats when I usually follow the advice of my other male counterparts on here : alcohol and talking to the opposite sex, rather extensively

Truth be told it is a whole lot easier to shell out the dough for a pair of shoes than to continue arguing with your significant other with no real indication that you are getting through . And there is nothing wrong with a woman in a pair of well made heels.

wasn’t meant as sarcasm, so no need to resent

@ buddha: nothing wrong with jimmy choos or manolos, I’ll take those ANY day!! I love shoes, but seriously if you have a fight with your gf and you buy her a pair of expensive shoes to make her forget about it, then I don’t know what to say about the g/f or the relationship. @ Aikacfa: if you’re not into porn as those guys are suggesting, perhaps try yoga or running or maybe having a drink with a couple of girlfriends? That always works for me. I know it can get really stressful sometimes…

Trying reading CFA ethics and code of conduct. It will put you to sleep in no time. If that doesn’t work … bust out some quant for good measure.

Thank you, everyone! I really like some recommedations suggested here and I will definitely follow them. I am also taking vitamins - I think it should help, too. Anyway, THANK YOU ALL and I hope you enjoy reading CFA

Pilates… Guys do that too
