How is this a cash flow from financing?

I was working through a schweser question and it said that “Sale of preferred stock” is CFF

I vividly remember CFAI text and/or Schweser notes saying that sale of debt and equity investments is part of CFI and only the proceeds from stock/debt issuance is part of CFF

Which one is right?

Your own preferred stock: CFF.

Some other company’s preferred stock: CFI.

Not just preferred stock. I’d think common equity sale would work as well.
