Agave nectar is very sweet tasting, so you really don’t need much. Start with a little and taste, can always add more but you can’t take it out. It has a lower glycemic index than sugar or honey, I believe, so it won’t spike your blood sugar as much leading a crash later.
NANA, I don’t think people care about putting sugar in their coffee because of the calories. It is more about the blood sugar spike and subsequent crash that can lead to cravings.
Oh that reminds me of how (when I was 4-5) my grandmother used to take me to stay in those endless lines to buy such “deficit” products like sugar. Dragging me along (as an extra head) allowed her to buy 4kg of sugar instead of only 2kg (limit per person). Did I mention it was winter:) Good times!
Coffee? I don’t drink it. Don’t need it to get my caffeine rush. I get my caffeine rush from life! I usually stick to water.
I only drink coffee (really, anything with caffeine) when I’m really tired. Generally it’s when I’m driving late at night. I usually just take the caffeine pills that I keep in the center console for that purpose.
oh fun different life experiences! When I was that age if I wanted something I put it on the list and it magically appeared after our housekeeper went shopping.
Anyway I drink too much coffee. Probably 5 cups or so from the Flavia single serve machine at work, but they’re not big cups. I’m trying I transition to tea in the afternoon though
