How many pages do you read a week? What is your average?
Here is what worked for me in Level I and I am doing the same for Level II: One month = one book. I divide the number of pages in the book by the number of days in a month (leaving out the last week for review of all previous books). So, it averages 22-30 pages per day. I may fall a little behind on certain days if I have to much going on at work or at home but that means I have to catch up during the week-end. This strategy helps me to stay on track with the material. So, I read about 200 pages per week.
I am currently working through Schweser Book 1 and I am averaging about 15-20 pages per day. I am planning on finishing the Schweser books and then reading the CFAI materials for Level 2, so I imagine I’ll have to increase the number of pages I’m reading per day at some point. Also, I’m taking notes on the Schweser books as I read, so the 15-20 pages includes notes for those pages, as well.
read less, practice more.
Try to understand the material by doing questions and learning from mistakes. After all, you dont get tested on how fast you can read but how well you can understand the questions and finding the right methods/formulas to get the correct answer.
I learn something new everytime I do those EOC and BB boxes.
I am reviewing material first by reading. I think you can do roughly 1 study session a week.
I read abouy 35-40 pages a day in 3 hours from the CFAI textbooks. I have 1335 pages left to read in 62 days or 32 days (if I plan to finish reading by the end of this month).
Then review all the EOC/BB questions and go through Elan guides to put the formulas into the memory bank. May is all exam practice time.
